At least two people were reportedly shot near a school in Northwest Washington, DC, on Friday afternoon.
The shooting was reported on the 4100 block of Connecticut Avenue NW, around 3.28pm, according to the Department.
It occurred near the Edmund Burke School, according to .
The University of DC’s Van Ness campus was placed on lockdown and students and staff were told to shelter in place, reported.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives tweeted that they were responding to the incident to assist the police department.
