White House records from January 6 turned over to the House select committee investigating the Capitol riot show a more than seven-hour gap in then-President Donald Trump’s phone logs, documents show.

The missing notation of calls to or from Trump from 11.17am to 6.54pm that day include the time frame when Trump supporters stormed the Capitol building, according to the documents obtained by and .

The report on Tuesday means that the committee does not have any record of Trump’s phone calls as the Capitol riot unfolded.

Earlier this year, the National Archives handed over 11 pages of Trump’s official daily diary and the White House switchboard call log to the committee. The records showed that Trump was on the phone for some of the day and spoke with at least eight people in the morning and 11 people in the evening.

Records show that former White House chief strategist Stephen Bannon spoke with Trump two times on January 6. Bannon the prior day had said on his podcast that ‘all hell is going to break loose tomorrow’.

The committee is looking into whether Trump used disposable or burner phones, phone of his aides or other backchannels to communicate on the day of the insurrection, two people familiar with the investigation told the news outlets.

In addition, the House panel is working to determine whether it got the full log from the day.

Trump on Monday night stated, ‘I have no idea what a burner phone is, to the best of my knowledge I have never even heard the term’.

A spokesperson for Trump told the news outlets that the ex-president was not involved with the records and assumed that all his calls were recorded and documented.

While president, Trump was known to use different phones and the outbound calls would often appear as the White House switchboard number, a former Cabinet official told the news outlets. Trump would also call from different numbers with no number showing on the recipients phone, according to the official.
