A two-year-old boy surprised his mother with a massive order of McDonald’s cheeseburgers a food delivery app.
Kelsey Golden, of Kingsville, Texas, was caught off guard when she received a message from the food delivery service stating that her order would take longer than usual due to its size.
When the delivery person arrived, Golden came face-to-face with her son’s big accidental order.
‘I have 31 free cheeseburgers from McDonald’s if anyone is interested,’ she wrote on Instagram, along with a photo of her son holding one of them and sitting next to a table full of still-wrapped ones.
‘Apparently my 2 yr old knows how to order doordash.’
The mother said she was working on her computer and was not aware that her son had gotten his hands on her phone.
‘He usually likes to take pictures of himself, and so he was doing that,’ Golden told . ‘I thought I’d locked the phone but apparently I didn’t because then DoorDash came with 31 cheeseburgers.’
Golden’s bill was $61.58 for the food, plus a $16 tip that her son generously included. Adding fees, the total price was $91.70.
The mother turned any upset feelings into an opportunity to tell her story and give. She offered the cheeseburgers on Facebook to anyone who wanted to pick them up, and got some responses.
‘I didn’t know what to do with them, he only ate half of one,’ Golden told the TV station. ‘So I posted on a community page on Facebook here in Kingsville and asked if anybody wanted some.’
While some people helped themselves to the burgers, others gave advice on how to store the fast food or give it away, Golden said.
Golden said she plans on hiding the app in her phone to avoid her son making any more shocking orders in the future.
