The US government is offering a $5million reward for information leading to the arrests of the Irish Kinahan crime gang, whose leaders are currently living in Dubai.

Irish, American and British law enforcement launched the action against the Kinahan cartel in unison in an attempt to counter their international operations.

The bounty was offered as three separate $5million rewards for information on the alleged gang leaders, Christy Kinahan Sr, Daniel Kinahan and Christopher Kinahan Jr.

Additionally, four other Irishmen and three companies said to be controlled by the gang were placed on a US commercial sanctions list, the  reported.

The move comes along with the public release of information about cartel members, including their addresses and numbers of their passports, both real and fake.

Speaking at the news conference, Garda Commissioner Drew Harris called the move by US, Irish and British authorities crucial, saying that the move would cause them to run low on money.

‘To them I would say, you can run but you can’t hide from justice forever,’ Harris said.

The US sanction would be a ‘heavy blow if not a crippling blow,’ Harris said, noting that the crime group has done severe damage in Ireland and across the globe.

Ireland has for years struggled to shut down the drug-smuggling crime group, which brings deadly narcotics including cocaine to Europe.

US law enforcement is now treating the Kinahan cartel the same way it responded to similar groups, including the Italian Camorra mafia group, the Yakuza mafia of Japan and the Russian Izmaylovskaya mafia.

The cartel has used Dubai as a base for its operations, which span Ireland, the UK, Spain and the United Arab Emirates.

Daniel Kinahan, who currently lives in the UAE, has tried to establish himself as a legitimate sports promoter, though his reputation in Ireland remains tarnished by his family’s name.

The Kinahan family has long been intertwined with the w reported. Their involvement made the headlines after a botched 2016 hit, conducted during a weigh-in for a boxing match at Dublin’s Regency hotel.

Daniel Kinahan reportedly runs the cartels day-to-day operations out of the UAE.

In their announcement Tuesday, US authorities vowed to ‘dismantle’ the Kinahan cartel, signaling support to Irish officials, who have long tried to hold the powerful crime family accountable.
