Super Eagles defender, Kevin Akpoguma was missing in action as Hoffenheim lost 4-2 at home to Bayer Leverkusen in Saturday’s Bundesliga game.
The Nigerian international has made 25 appearance and netted two goals this season for Hoffenheim.
Georginio Rutter opened the floodgate of goals in the 22nd minute before Patrik Schick leveled parity in the 34th minute.
Baumgartner extended Hoffenheim’s lead in the 36th minute before Moussa Diaby netted in the 73rd minute for Bayer Leverkusen to make it 2-2.
However, further goals from Schick and Lucas Alario made it 4-2 for the visitor and secure the maximum points.
The victory means Hoffenheim sit 8th on 46 points while Bayer Leverkusen sit 3rd on 61 points.
