Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has landed a cheeky dig on Manchester United ahead of tonight’s clash with Liverpool.
The Reds will host their bitter rivals at Anfield as they look to usurp Manchester City in the Premier League’s table.
In the reverse fixture earlier in the season at Old Trafford, Liverpool thrashed Ralf Rangnick’a side 5-0.
While Liverpool are battling City for the Premier League title, United are fighting for a top-four finish.
They are currently in fifth place on 54 points, just three points from fourth spot currently occupied by Tottenham Hotspur.
And looking ahead to to tonight’s big clash, Carragher pointed out that while Liverpool’s focus is to win the league title, United’s concern is a top-four finish.
“#LIVMUN The two biggest clubs in the country!
One playing for the PL Title the other for the top four! Join us at 7:00.”
Jurgen Klopp’s men are in the hunt for an historic quadruple and have already won the League Cup.
They will face Chelsea in the FA Cup final and are in the Champions League semis where they will take on Villarreal.
