Burnley are in the market for a new manager to succeed Sean Dyche who was recently sacked after a poor run of results.
Wayne Rooney is understood to be Burnley’s No.1 target to take charge at Turf Moor in the coming days.
Other names floated for the job include Middlesbrough boss Chris Wilder, Sunderland’s Alex Neil and ex-West Ham and legendary English tactician Sam Allardyce.
