Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) has extended a congratulatory birthday message to Super Falcons star, Halimatu Ayinde.
The NFF sent this message via their official twitter handle on Monday.
“Happy birthday to @NGSuper_Falcons midfielder and three time WAFCON champion@ayindecharity. We wish you all the best today and always,” their Tweeter handle reads.
Ayinde joined American side, Western New York Flash in 2015 from Delta Queens.
Ayinde began the journey that would take her to the pinnacle of the game when she started her professional career with Nasarawa Amazons in 2009 and quickly moved onto the Nigeria top female football side Delta Stars where she was spotted by the national team handlers.
She has played for all cadres of national teams; from the U17 to U20 and now the Super Falcons. She was part of the Nigeria U20 that made runners up at the 2014 U20 Women’s World Cup. She also has two African Women’s Championship gold medals on her shelve and to cap it up has played in top leagues of the world from U.S.A, Albania and Sweden.
She joined Belarusian team FC Minsk in 2016 where she made appearances in the Women’s Champions League.
She left Minsk after two years joining Sweden club,Asarums IF before joining fellow Swedish team Eskilstuna United in 2019.
