says he cannot wait to start his debut season at , predicting it will be full of ‘fun’ and goals.

The highly prolific striker moved from Dortmund to City earlier this summer in a deal worth £54million, and has already settled in well at the Etihad, scoring on his unofficial debut against on Sunday.

The 1-0 win over Bayern was City’s last game of the summer, with the Citizens’ next game being the Community Shield clash with Liverpool this Saturday, before their Premier League campaign kick-offs the following weekend with a trip to West Ham.

And Haaland says he is ready to take centre-stage in Pep Guardiola’s side, having been heavily impressed with the quality of his new teammates.

‘[My] first time winning against Bayern, I have to say it’s about time!’ the 22-year-old told reporters after the friendly.

‘Seven losses in a row. It feels good to win against Bayern. The quality is good, and it was also good to play against Bayern to get a real test before Liverpool in the week.

‘As you probably all know I’ve been watching a lot of City games over the last few years and last year they were without strikers, so of course I’ve been seeing myself in these kinds of situations, so I’m not surprised [I scored].’

It was Jack Grealish who assisted Haaland for his goal, and the Norwegian was keen to praise him afterward, as well as manager Pep Guardiola.

‘He’s [Grealish] good, he has to get better, I have to get better but there’s a good link. I like the vibe around him so it’s going to be fun.

‘Of course, it’s been one week, I cannot tell you much about this, but I’ve been training good and I’m ready for what’s next.’

Sadly, Haaland would not reveal what exactly made Guardiola crazy, but the Spaniard was certainly impressed with his new player, although he did urge caution, saying that he will need time to fully adapt to City’s style of play.

‘He [Haaland] scored a goal which is important, these type of goals in front of keeper – always he’s there,’ Guardiola said post-match.

‘The first minutes, he needs more rhythm and time but already he had 45 minutes which is good for him.

‘We’ll see how he reacts to the niggles that he had in the previous weeks.

‘After we come back, we have long weeks to prepare every weekend game. In those two or three weeks we will get the best form.’
